After dying, you feel as your soul slowly ascends above. However, a mysterious force suddenly pulls you forcefully to the side, dragging you away! Your soul eventually ends up in a mysterious space, which you somehow know the name of as if someone had implanted it into your mind - the cycle of reincarnation! Based on karma earned from your past life, you get to design your body in your next life. Once you complete designing your fate, you get pulled into a new world. This new world is one of cultivation, where power reigns supreme! Now, can you defy fate and ascend to become an immortal?


Currently, as this game is an early prototype, there is not a story developed yet, so the description above is mostly just plans for the future story. It takes place in the four heavenly valleys sect, and currently you can cultivate through the first realm of foundation forming to middle meridian awakening (2nd realm).

The thunder plateu is bugged for me, I can travel there but the only way the explore menu appears is when I foward a year, is it a bug or an intended mechanic?

I am loving the game so far! It feels very similar to Captain Wabbit's Xianxia Simulator, I think even the start choices are the same! I enjoy both very much, and hope you continue developing this!

Awesome little work in progress. Enjoyed it a lot.

I think you could maybe do with balancing the drop rates for items, or maybe change up the crafting chance.

Since players can spend a couple of years grinding in the first area gathering enough materials for foundation pills your foundation stat can be boosted so much it makes pretty much all the enemies after that kinda trivial to fight against which results in gameplay feeling grindy after that point.

Playing on mobile in landscape mode, very strange thing is that I can't access the Thunder area (4th area). It deducts 7 days from my year every time I tap it, but nothing happens otherwise, so I'm stuck at peak foundation (definitely gave me a slight sense of confusion and despair watching my lifespan run down and nothing I could do about it... realistic lol)

Im on my first life, so i dont know if its meant to be possible but stormcaller alpha keeps destroying me, im peak foundation 100% all training max, metal art with damage talisman. I cant out dps it tips??

At age 15, Xi Ping broke trough to the High Foundation Forming. A prodigy.

At age 16, Xi Ping broke trough to the Peak Foundation Forming. A divinity in the making.

At age 17, Xi Ping broke trough to the Low Meridian Awakening. He was seen going to the Outer Soul Valley and Thunderhowl Plateau, but never coming back.

At age 18, Xi Ping broke trough to the Medium Meridian Awakening. Then he shared his secret: "Why, I just skip my birthday and start the same year again until I break trough!"


Bugs:
- saving a game with 0 days left refills it to 365 when loading, keeping all your stuff
- loading a game sets you to the Sect even if you were in another location
- when breaktrough chance is over 100% the number does not appear
- when breaking trough to Low/Medium Meridian Awakening the code fails, unable to find the HTML node "item_shop8".

Overall the game mostly feels grindy.
- Failing an alchemy feels bad, especially when it needs rare ingredients and you have to rely on random chance to fight the required monster again.
- Failing to breaktrough and losing your Foundation is frustrating. It's interesting in worldbuilding but not in gameplay, this is what led me to savescum and discover the time-loop bug. It also pushed me to avoid Foundation entirely, relying on the base ~25% chance every year with no loss penalty.
- There is little point in going out to fight before Peak Foundation Forming when you are forced to do alchemy. If you go to a location with the minimum Cultivation requirement the monsters will blow you up. It might be a faster way to grind Sect points in terms of game years but it takes much more player time.
- Grinding monsters to make pills seems pointless. You can get Psych and Foundation from the Cultivation Chamber for free and faster in player time. There is no in-game time pressure beyond dying at 120.

thank you for the feedback! I’ll make sure to fix all the bugs you mentioned in the next update and try to improve the game further. Could you maybe give me suggestions to increase the incentive for combat more early game and how to make the game more enjoyable?

- a tournament every 5 years where you face progressively stronger opponents. Each opponent defeated gives you a reward. After you lose or give up you can try again next tournament, starting against the same difficulty as you blaze trough the early brackets with ease. The goal is to start with an opponent that is almost impossible to lose to and increase the difficulty so that you beat 2-3 opponents per cultivation level you earn, letting you feel your increase in strength.
- replace the pills crafting with a "cultivation supplies" stat that increases as you forage and harvest spirit beasts. It acts as another Breaktrough multiplier.
- replace the Sect Points tax with a Sect Insatisfaction deadline. If you reach this deadline you get kicked out of the sect, forcing an early reincarnation. This deadline gets push back when you breaktrough, when you win tournament matches or by contributing Sect points at an increasing rate.
- add other deadlines to pace the game. You are caught in a bandit attack at age 23 and must reincarnate if you can't defeat this easy enemy. A divine storm rages from year 41 to 44, preventing travel and leaving behind new locations. A Dragon grave can be found, looting it gives lots of resources but adds a deadline 15 years later where its spirit comes back to fight you.

I do greatly appreciate your feedback, it's nice to see you actually gave me suggestions instead of being rude so I'm thankful for that. I will most likely incorporate a tournament aspect sooner than later. about pill crafting/alchemy, it's going to get a complete rework and not be as much reliant on luck and have a lot more interaction, so don't worry about that. the sect points tax I will keep but I have also added an event greatly punishing you if you go below -12 sect points. adding deadlines/story events is a great idea and I was already thinking of including them sooner than later, so rest assured they will be incorporated into the game one way or another.

How to get the crystals? I spent a year in all three locations, didnt get it(

You get the crackling crystals from the stormcaller wolf alpha, which only has an 8% chance of spawning in thunderhowl plateau. It's supposed to be a difficult fight, so I'd recommend you max everything out and buy minor metal combat art to fight it.

I did it!!! At the age of 105 Lui Yi is at middle meridian awakening with maxed out stats!!!!

damn, nice! to be honest, even I haven’t put through the time to reach middle meridian awakening legit (I usually just cheat and give myself items and stats so I can test new features). because of that, I don’t know how long it takes, so how long did it take you to do that?

by the way, will there be reincarnation to get more fate points? Im really looking forward to new updates. I also think u should add stuff like events, and definitely to choose ur chars gender, there is so much to do really, im waiting impatiently.

Breakthrough does not seem to work atm as the check on continue tests if cultivation_realm < 3, when cultivation_realm is now a string rather than an integer, causing it to return false and never initiate breakthrough. 

Other than that, looks neat for a prototype.

don’t pay attention to the text really it’s mostly rushed lol the next update will have a complete run over over all the text boxes and I’ll be adding an actual story. It’s pretty simple to break through, just cultivate till you reach 100% progress in your current realm and when you continue to the next year you’ll have the option to either breakthrough or continue

Looks like another guy said it already but the breakthrough wasn't working at the time I was playing lol, thanks for the fast update btw not sure if it's a glitch again but I can only ever reach the peak of foundation despite reaching 100%(Is second realm available? cause the description makes it sound like it) also maybe letting ppl know that after reaching 100% can still cultivate to improve foundation, overall now that I can play more seems good

It is available, its a bit hidden (it takes a while), you have to craft the meridian awakening pill and once you use it you will unlock the ability to breakthrough to meridian awakening. for low meridian awakening to middle meridian awakening you need to craft the soul protection pill and then use it which will then unlock the inner soul valley, and then in the inner soul valley you have to get the materials for the meridian bottleneck pill and craft that then use it to unlock the breakthrough to middle meridian awakening. slightly complicated, but thats the point lol

Oh I see thanks for the info man, I guess in the future since the text for both the pills are same, you're gonna make it more obvious? 

yeah mb i forgot that the text for them are the same, i make some silly mistakes like that a lot because when im coding it im usually copying the item above it to make it faster and sometimes i forget to change it especially since its so similar. at least the names are different lol, otherwise you really wouldn't have any idea.
